Event: From March 15 to 31, 2026, Professor Qiquan Quan organizes graduate students from the AMT Laboratory to carry out focused study and discussions on Simulink model development. On April 7, the laboratory holds a seminar on the stage-wise summary of Simulink automatic code generation. During the seminar, the graduate students present their learning outcomes and share typical problems encountered in practice, along with corresponding solutions. Drawing on his engineering experience, Professor Quan elaborates on the advantages and practical value of automatic code generation, noting that model-based development is an important trend in engineering. He encourages students to actively explore its application in both scientific research and engineering practice, and to continuously improve their capabilities in model development and implementation.

Event: From March 2 to 9, 2026, Professor Qiquan Quan, together with graduate students Yuheng Wang and Guodong Li, visits the Lanzhou Institute of Physics, CAST, to participate in a proposal workshop for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Aerospace Joint Fund integrated project titled “Mechanisms of Asteroid Mineral Mining and Sorting Control Methods.” During the workshop, Professor Quan delivers a presentation on “Anchoring Mechanisms and Methods for Asteroid Mineral Mining Operations,” covering the research content, technical route, and implementation plan. He also engages in in-depth discussions with all project team members, further clarifying the research priorities, task allocation, and collaboration mechanisms for the next stage.

Farewell 2025 and embrace 2026

Event: On December 31, the AMT Laboratory holds a year-end party at the Gu Yu Chinese Restaurant. Yachao Dong and Kaiyi Wang host the party. Yuheng Wang reads the annual report of AMT in 2025. During the party, everyone shares their experiences and gains from the year 2025. Prof. Qiquan Quan, along with the students from laboratory, selects the annual photo of 2025. In the photo selection activity, Yachao Dong wins the gold award, Buchan Jia wins the silver award, and Jingwei Hao wins the bronze award. During the dinner, Prof. Qiquan Quan shares his own experiences in education and research, encouraging students to engage in more “irreplaceable work” in their future studies and careers. To celebrate the arrival of 2026, Bo Tang presents a simulation video showing the wind blowing through AMT at a speed of 20.26 m/s.

On October 22, Professor Quan visits Unitree Technology and CHINT Group with his friends from his doctoral studies at Ritsumeikan University. During the visit, they watch live demonstrations of Unitree’s robotic products.
