Event: Zhiqing Qiang, a Master’s graduate from the 2021 cohort, is employed at Shanghai Institute of Astronautical Systems Engineering. On August 29th, Zhiqing Qiang, with his wife, visits the AMT laboratory and shares a dinner with Prof. Qiquan Quan, Prof. Dewei Tang, Prof. Hongying Yu and the graduate students from the lab. During dinner, Qiang Zhiqing shares his experiences and insights with everyone and advises the graduate students to cherish their time studying in the lab.

Event: From July 12 to 13, outstanding young scholars from world-renowned universities and institutions gathered at Harbin Institute of Technology to attend the 12th Shenzhou Forum for Outstanding Young Scholars. The Zhengzhou session is held during the same period, where outstanding young scholars from home and abroad gather together to share frontier research progress and discuss academic growth and future dreams. As the academic leader of the Young Scientist Studio, Professor Yanning Guo delivers a presentation titled “Strategies and Suggestions for the Growth of Young Scholars and Talent Application”. Professor Qiquan Quan delivers a presentation titled “Extraterrestrial unmanned sampling and exploration technology”. Professor Qiquan Quan combines his experience in extraterrestrial unmanned sampling research, shares his explorations and breakthroughs in scientific research. He encourages young scholars to actively respond to the national call, to focus on major national needs and the main economic battlefield, and to integrate innovative thinking into academic research, thus realizing the value of scientific research in servicing national development.

Event: From June 1 to June 4, the 2025 IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics (IEEE RCAR 2025) is held at the Toyama International Conference Center, Japan. Prof. Qiquan Quan, Prof. Gangfeng Liu, and Ph.D. candidate Bo Tang attend the academic conference. Prof. Qiquan Quan serves as the Program Co-Chair for the conference. Ph.D. candidate Tang Bo delivers an academic lecture titled “Design of a quadrotor flying robot capable of Mars rock sample collection.”
On June 5th and 6th, Prof. Qiquan Quan, Prof. Gangfeng Liu, and Ph.D. candidate Bo Tang visit Cloud Robotics laboratory, Actuation laboratory and Soft Robotics laboratory at Ritsumeikan University. They engage in extensive discussions with the Ph.D. candidates from China about the development and research of robotics technology.

Event: On May 25, 2025, the AMT Laboratory holds a camping BBQ at Amilia Manor Camping Site. Prof. Qiquan Quan presents graduation gifts to the soon-to-be graduates, Shengyu Hou, Ziyuan Yu, Haoyu Zheng, Le Qi, and Hanxin Wang. Hanxin Wang is awarded for an excellent undergraduate thesis. During the camp, Kaijie Zhu performs songs for everyone, and Shengyu Hou wins 1st place in the watermelon-eating contest. During this rare leisure time, everyone enjoyed a fulfilling and happy day together through games and collaborative activities.

Event: On May 8, 2025, Prof. Qiquan Quan is invited to participate in the rules seminar for the 4th Standard Innovation Competition for College Students held in Changchun, Jilin. Prof. Quan engages in discussions regarding the establishment and improvement of the competition rules draft. Alongside other attending experts, Prof. Quan provides relevant suggestions on aspects such as organizational development, scale enhancement, and building the influence of competition, thereby creating a more fair and professional evaluation environment for standardization talents in universities.
