Event: From December 6 to 8, the 2024 Workshop on Robot Technologies for Sustainable Society (RTSS 2024), hosted by Robotics and Autonomous Systems Thrust of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) System Hub, is held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). More than 10 top robotics experts in the industry deliver engaging keynote speeches and invited talks, covering a wide range of cutting-edge topics in robotics technology.

Professor Qiquan Quan and Ph.D. candidate Yuheng Wang attend the workshop. Prof. Qiquan Quan serves as the co-chair of the program committee and delivers a presentation titled “Extraterrestrial unmanned robotics sampling technology.” Ph.D. candidate Yuheng Wang presents a poster titled “A High-efficiency ultrasonic driller engineered for asteroid anchoring with ultra-low drilling pressure”.

Event: On June 14, Mr. Zuoxin Zhou, the commander-in-chief of Tianwen-3 along with his delegation come to visit the Research Center of Aerospace Mechanism and Control at Harbin Institute of Technology.

Mr. Zhou presents the overall implementation plan for the Tianwen-3 Mars exploration mission. On behalf of the research team, Mr. Qiquan Quan puts forward the research progress on the Mars rotorcraft. Mr. Peng Liu reports on the research progress of the vision navigation for the Mars rotorcraft. Academician Zongquan Deng of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, together with the research team conduct in-depth technical exchanges and discussions with Mr. Zhou along with his delegation concerning the Mars rotorcraft.
