Event:  At 2:00 PM on December 31, the student members of AMT laboratory hold a year-end party in Room K532 of the Technology Innovation Building (TIB). Mr. Kaijie Zhu hosts the party. Students who are unable to attend in person participate in the meeting online. Mr. Kaijie Zhu reads AMT’s 2023 annual report. In the “2023 Photography Contest”, all the students vote online and select excellent photographs: Ms. Mengxue Li wins the gold and bronze awards, and Mr. Qi Wu wins the silver award. The award-winning students share the stories behind their photographic works. After the meeting, each student cleans the laboratory and jointly faces the challenges and opportunities of the new coming year.

Event: On July 26, 2023, Ms. Yajun Wu who graduated in 2018, with her parents visit the AMT laboratory. Ph.D. candidate Mr. Bo Tang introduces the development of research about the Mars rotorcraft and asteroid exploration to them. Ms. Yajun Wu also shares her working experience after graduation and discusses freely the current employment situation in Mainland and abroad with Prof. Qiquan Quan.

Event: On June 19, 2023, GDU technical experts Mr. Yuan Xue and Mr. Shuai Song are invited by Prof. Qiquan Quan to participate in a workshop on data flow and communication protocols of UAV in Harbin. The workshop is held at the Volga Manor, Harbin.

Mr. Yuan Xue and Mr. Shuai Song have a deep technical exchange with Prof. Qiquan Quan, Prof. Peng Liu, Prof. Rui Wu of Harbin Institute of Technology, engineers and graduate students of the Aerospace Mechanism Testing (AMT) laboratory in data flow and communication protocols. During the meeting, Prof. Qiquan Quan introduces the current progress of development of the Mars rotorcraft of Harbin Institute of Technology; Mr. Kaijie Zhu reports the general design of the Mars rotorcraft; Mr. Bo Tang reports the design of the rotor system of the Mars rotorcraft, and Mr. Huanhe Wang reports the design of the communication protocols.

After the meeting, Prof. Qiquan Quan accompanies Mr. Yuan Xue and Mr. Shuai Song to have lunch together at Volga Manor.

Event: The AMT Laboratory held an online year-end party at 2:00 pm on December 31. Yuheng Wang and Yuanxu Wu hosted the party. Kaijie Zhu read AMT’s 2022 annual report. In the “2022 Photography Contest”, teachers, students, engineers, and the research assistant voted online and selected excellent photographs: Bo Tang won both the Gold Medal and Bronze Medal, and Mengxue Li won the Silver Medal. Event: September 10 is China’s 38th Teacher’s Day, which also coincides with the Chinese traditional festival—Mid-Autumn Festival. AMT laboratory’ students prepared greeting cards, hand-made gifts and short videos in advance to send blessings to the teachers when the festival comes.

At noon that day, the teacher and the students ate moon cakes, chatted about life and the future together in Room 208 of the laboratory. The scientific and rigorous laboratory was filled with a warm and happy atmosphere. The double festival celebrations gradually increased the friendship between teachers and students in the little bit of true feelings, and made ‘The peach and the plum do not speak, yet a path is born beneath them’ and ‘I hope that people will last forever, and thousands of miles will be together’ intertwined into a good wish.

Event: On June 28, Yikang Jin, Ju Liu, Xin Ai, Zhiyuan Kong, Hao Kang, Xinqing Sun, Cheng Cheng, Chuanjie Xu, Shengan Xiong, Qi Wu and Bo Tang, the master students of Aerospace Mechanism Testing Laboratory (AMT), worked hard and managed to pass their thesis defenses. Zhihui Sun, the undergraduate of AMT, passed the thesis defense successfully. AMT held a graduation farewell party for everyone in the “985 Seating” Restaurant. Teachers and students from the AMT took part in the farewell party together.

Yikang Jin finished his thesis titled “Design of an Ultrasonic Drill Generator and Research on Resonance Control Algorithm” won the award of “Excellent Master Degree Dissertation of Harbin Institute of Technology”, he will join Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Ju Liu finished his thesis titled “Design and Optimization of Variable Meta-Structure Solar Radiation Thruster” and will join Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology. Xin Ai finished his thesis titled “Simulation and Experimental Analysis of Asteroid Obstructive Landing Based on Electromagnetic Damping Buffer” and will join Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Zhiyuan Kong finished his thesis titled “Study On Cross Section Configuration And Anchoring Performance Of Asteroid Ultrasonic Drilling” and will join SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd. Hao Kang finished his thesis titled “A Distributed Monocular Vision Pose Measurement Method for Automatic Docking of Cartridge and Its Experimental Verification” and will join Chongqing Chang’an Automobile Co., Ltd. The online year-end party only retained the “2021 Photography Contest”. Under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s year-end party is simple, novel and unforgettable. All members of the AMT Laboratory participated in the online voting, and selected outstanding photographs: Qiukui Zhang won both the Gold Medal and Silver Medal, and Kaijie Zhu won the Bronze Medal. Qiulin Kang finished his thesis titled “Development of a portable automatic pretightening device for the solar wing fastener” and will join CASC. Kaijie Zhu finished his thesis titled “Design and experimental study of main rotor system of a coaxial helicopter for mars exploration” and decide to stay at Harbin Institute of Technology to pursue his PhD degree. Hao Guan finished his thesis titled “Simulation and experiments on electromagnetic damping asteroid landing buffer mechanism” and will join Beijing Honor Device Co. Ltd. Kaiqiang Zhang finished his thesis titled “Development of percussive ultrasonic drill generator based on FPGA” and will join Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology. Zhuoqun Cao finished his thesis titled “Research on position control of continuous motion landing site of a hopping robot” and will join China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. Qiuyang Deng finished his thesis titled “Study on driving characteristics optimization and temperature adaptability of an ultrasonic drill” and will join China Academy of Engineering Physics. In the “2020 Photography Contest”, Tongzhao Wang wins the Gold Medal, Xinqing Sun wins the Silver Medal, and Tingzhang Wang wins the Bronze Medal. In the “2020 Outstanding Summary”, Yixuan Lv wins the Gold Medal, Kaijie Zhu and Qiuyang Deng win the Silver Medal, and Xin Ai, Tongzhao Wang, Tingting Liu and Zhijun Yu win the Bronze Medal. In the game session, Bo Tang wins the gold award, Ju Liu wins the silver award, Chuanjie Xu wins the bronze award.
