Event: Yubao Cao, Wenhe Jiang, Hang Liu, Liyan Liu, Chao Ma, Yilin Shen, Zhiheng Wei and Baohong Sun, the undergraduates of Aerospace Mechanism Testing Laboratory (AMT), worked hard and managed to pass their thesis defenses. Yubao Cao finished his thesis titled “Design and research on automatic docking system for missile loading cartridge” and will join Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Wenhe Jiang finished his thesis titled “Design and research of sampling device for rock ultrasonic grinding on asteroid surface” and decide to stay at Harbin Institute of Technology to pursue his PhD degree. Hang Liu finished his thesis titled “Development of friction torque measuring instrument for small and medium-sized bearings” and will join Chongqing Chang’an Automobile Co., Ltd. Liyan Liu finished her thesis titled “Simulation analysis and experimental vertification of gas-driven asteroid sampling and delivery device” and will join SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. Chao Ma finished his thesis titled “Sampling Device Design and Drilling Characteristic Analysis of Asteroid Rotary Ultrasonic Drilling” and will join Avic Leihua Electronic Technology Research Institute. Yilin Shen finished his thesis titled “Design and experimental study of electromagnetic damping landing buffer device for asteroid probe” and will join Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd. Zhiheng Wei finished his thesis titled “Analysis and experimental research of driving characteristics of ultrasonic/sonic driller in high and low temperature” and will join Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Baohong Sun’s thesis entitled “Development of a Driver for a Percussive Ultrasonic Drill” won the excellent graduation award. He will join CASC.

Event: At 2:30 pm on December 31, the AMT laboratory held the year-end party in the lecture hall of the university’s activity center. The party was hosted by Tongzhao Wang and Yubao Cao. Tongzhao Wang first read the AMT’s 2019 annual report, and then students and engineers made personal annual summaries. Dr. Rui Wu gave the “Three Things in 2019” report, Associate Professor Qiquan Quan made the “AMT laboratory Work Report in 2019”, and Professor Dewei Tang made the “AMT laboratory Outlook Report in 2020”. In the “2019 Photography Contest”, Kaijie Zhu won the Gold Medal, Yilin Shen won the Silver Medal, and Chao Ma won the Bronze Medal. The year-end party also added the “2019 Outstanding Summary” selection link for students and engineers, in which Tongzhao Wang won the Gold Medal, Baohong Sun won the Silver Medal and Canhui Yin won the Bronze Medal. At 6:00 pm on the same day, a dinner party was held at Shangju Dumpling Hotel.

Event: In the morning of December 29, 2019, Dr. He Li, a former graduate, visited our AMT laboratory. Dr. Li is holding a position of assistant professor at Shandong University of Science and Technology. During this visit, he reported to Professor Zongquan Deng, Professor Dewei Tang and Associate Professor Qiquan Quan about his work and life in Qingdao. In addition, he and his schoolmates shared their past days.

Event: Yinchao Wang, Deen Bai, Shuitian Chen, Guoqing Wang, Jiongfeng Hu and Zheng Yang, the undergraduates of Aerospace Mechanism Testing Laboratory (AMT), worked hard and managed to pass their thesis defenses. Yinchao Wang finished his  thesis titled “Research on rotary percussive ultrasonic drill driven by single piezoelectric stack” and will join Shenyang Aerospace University, Deen Bai finished his thesis titled “Research on rotary percussive ultrasonic drill with bidirectional drive and its performance” and will join Wuxi Pilot Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., Shuitian Chen finished his thesis titled “Lift-drag characteristics and experimental study on rotorcraft for Mars exploration” and joined SZ DJI Technology Co.,Ltd., Guoqing Wang finished his thesis titled “Development of an anchoring device for asteroid probe based on ultrasonic drilling” and joined China University of Mining and Technology, Jiongfeng Hu finished his thesis titled “Gas-driven Asteroid Regolith Sampling Device Base on Disk-shaped Cutter” and joined HUAWEI Technologies Co., Ltd., and Zheng Yang finished his thesis titled “Design and experimental study of an ultrasonic/sonic driller using single crystal piezoelectric ceramics” and will join CSIC 701 in July 2019. On 6th July, AMT held a celebration party at Shangju Dumpling cafeteria for their graduation.

Event: At one o’clock in the afternoon, Aerospace Mechanism Testing (AMT) laboratory held the 2018 year-end party on time. Firstly everyone reviewed and summed up his or her achievements in 2018, and talked about his or her plan of 2019. Then Prof. Dewei Tang summarized the achievements of the AMT laboratory in 2018 on behalf of Dr. Quan. Subsequently, the 2018 Photography Contest was held by secret ballot, and Mr. Hui Zhu won the best photo award and a bonus of ￥1000. The photo—Venice—will be set as a cover photo of the AMT laboratory homepage forever. AMT will hold the annual photography contest at every end of the year. Then Mr. Pengyue Zhao read AMT’s annual summary report of 2018. We have a fruitful and pleasant 2018. Finally, Prof. Dewei Tang prospected for AMT laboratory development in 2019. At night, all members of AMT laboratory gathered together in Shangju Dumpling cafeteria to greet the arrival of the new year 2019.

Event: Xin Yang, Tingting Yang and Aimaiti Bulading, the undergraduates of Aerospace Mechanism Testing Laboratory (AMT), worked hard and managed to pass their thesis defenses. Xi Yang finished his  thesis titled “Research on transducer driving characteristics of a percussive ultrasonic driller” and will join Midea of China in August 2018, Tingting Yang finished her thesis titled “Analysis of aerodynamic characteristics and experimental study on the trapezoidal blade of Mars UAV” and will join CETC 38 in July 2018, and Aimaiti Bulading finished his thesis titled “Design and experimental study of a percussive ultrasonic drill driver” and will join CSIC 704 in July 2018. On 29nd June, AMT held a celebration party at Hans Fresh Beer for their graduation.

Event: Shuitian Chen, Yafei Deng, Yubao Cao, and Wenshi Guo, the undergraduates of RCAMC502, worked hard and managed to pass their thesis defenses. Shuitian Chen and Yubao Cao will pursue their master’s degrees in RCAMC502, and Yafei Deng and Wenshi Guo will study for their master’s degrees at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Yuxiang Hua and Dan Wang completed their master’s dissertations and successfully passed the defense for master degree. Yuxiang Hua will pursue his Ph.D. at the host university (HIT), and Dan Wang will join F.C.C of Japan in October 2017. On 2nd July, RCAMC502 held a celebration party for their graduation.

Event: Yawen Chen and Haimo Xiao visited RCAMC502. They are excellent graduates of Dr. Quan. Yawen Chen graduated from RCAMC502 in July 2015 and received her master of science degree from Imperial College in October 2016. She now is the core team member in XenoDynamics. Yawen Chen made a speech on learning and life experiences in England. Her speech is interesting and broadens our horizon. Haimo Xiao graduated from RCAMC502 in July 2016, and now he is a research engineer in Midea Corporate Research Center. Haimo Xiao gave us a speech on efficient working methods and habits based on his own learning and working experiences. His speech has an important reference value for us. To welcome Ms. Chen and Mr. Xiao’s visit, RCAMC502 held a dinner party at Lee’s Restaurant.

Event: Mr. Senjing Zheng visited RCAMC502 and made a speech on learning and life experiences in University of Birmingham for all the RCAMC502 members. Mr. Senjing Zheng graduated from RCAMC502 in July 2015 and received the master degree of science from University of Birmingham in December 2016. He decided to pursue his Ph.D. in University of Birmingham. Dr. Qiquan Quan hopes that he can get his Ph.D. successfully and harvest rich results in his research area of Artificial Intelligence. In the afternoon, 2016 year-end party of RCAMC502 was held. Everyone reviewed and summed up his or her achievements in 2016, and talked about his or her future plan of 2017. At night, Mr. Senjing Zheng and all members of RCAMC502 gathered together in Golden Hans cafeteria to greet the arrival of new year 2017.
